It sounds simple, but stay active! Do you have a favorite user on Twitter that you follow? If they stopped posting for weeks or months on end would you still engage with them? Would you unfollow them? Stay active and post regularly to retain the interest of your fans and followers.
DON’T: Ask people to follow you; if they like your photos, they will follow you on their own. DON’T: Like every photo you see; make sure your “like” retains some value, so when you truly like something, people know it. DON’T: Post 100 photos a day; it’s annoying, and I want to see other photos…
DO: Match your Instagram and Twitter names; this makes it easier for people to find you on both networks. DO: Be social; follow your friends, family, favourite brands and celebrities to fill your feed with pictures you love. DO: Share interesting photos; consider lighting, composition, etc.
I may have said this before, but it’s important. If your bio says, “I tweet about social media marketing,” your last 10 tweets should NOT be how to plant the perfect rose. Tweet about what you tell people you tweet about!
One key element to remember to increase the stumble rate is to comment on the webpage you are stumbling. It shows more engagement on your part around that site and weights it more. So Comment.
